The ARK Institute of Learning (ARK) officially started as a Washington non profit corporation (501c3) in 1996. The agency roots stretch back to a learning clinic that, for nearly two decades, effectively taught children and adults with learning disorders how to be successful. The ARK was formed to preserve, share, and continue to develop the discoveries and methods proven over those years. ARK therapists teach children and adults with learning disorders to be successful. Focusing on helping educators, they also write books, prepare materials and teach graduate courses equipping teachers to serve the capable children in every classroom who learn differently. In 2002, a new center was build that houses a large classroom and individual offices for our highly skilled Educational Therapists. ARK stands for Applied Research Knowledge. This describes our emphasis on study and collaboration, while ever striving to develop new avenues for persons who struggle with learning.
